Volunteers needed for new Branches
This year will see the launch of 2 new Branches in the South of England; Surrey (Based in Guildford) and Hampshire (based in Southampton). Our Bedfordshire & Buckinghamshire Branch is also looking for new members.
The British Science Association is looking for people who share the same vision - a society in which people from all walks of life are able to access science, engage with it and feel a sense of ownership about its direction – to volunteer to be Committee Members.
Regional branches are responsible for engaging and inspiring adults and young people through a diverse and exciting programme of science and engineering events throughout the year.
This is a chance to show your love for science, share it with others, and gain practical skills along the way! You could help with marketing, with keeping track of financials, or even act as Chair; there is any number of ways you can help out! We are ideally looking for prior experience and knowledge of science communication and/or event management, but an interest in science is the only essential.
If you want to get involved with any of the Branches mentioned above please contact Tom McKenzie - Regional Officer South of England. For more information about what is involved in being a member of a British Science Association Branch please visit our website.
